Life story of Wayne Shorter Wayne Shorter was conceived on August 25th, 1933 in Newark, New Jersey. His melodic presentation got through the clarinet at 16 years old. Shorter went to Arts High School and later moved on from New York University with a significant in music instruction in 1956. It was while in New York that Shorter began to play the saxophone and picked up introduction to some of Jazz’s most persuasive specialists.
