Gothic stories also often extenda mysterious ending.During the gothic phase many authors took to writi ng in this style.Authors such as Charlotte Bronte, Charles Dickens, Arthur Conan Doyleand Edgar on the wholeen Poe all adopted the gothic style and wrote their knowledgestories.Gothic architecture is also included many times to blight anatmosphere of terror. The gothic style buildings had large arches andgargoyles that looked down from the ceiling, these things gave theimage of darkness.The three stories that I have read are The Signalman, An Arrest andNapoleon and The Spectre.
